you can add more people on your facebook account, friends are being counted on facebook campaign and not the followers, while increasing the rank of your account, increase also the number of your friends so you could participate on facebook campaign.

Right twitter is the one who needs more followers and not facebook,only Friends is what you need and just add and add all the people who's appearing in your wall,in just a month you may have thousands if you will continuously do it,specially those newly created accounts they will accept everyone that send them friend request

How easy finding 5000 friends?lol its easy to say but harder to do,it will took him maybe 1-4 months before getting those volume
