Accept the fact that altcoins are more of pump and dump and is producing profit for the day traders. I don't care if he's a pioneer in blockchain on Wall St.
Some will have an uplift eyebrows for just investing in bitcoin, you have your own strategy and the guy isn't forcing you to invest to bitcoin only. But as a long term holder bitcoin has been always reliable in terms of profit and growth for years.
Nowadays more coin release in the market place. So choose the best coin. Then invest. Bitcoin is king of all coin.
Why would I choose the best altcoin and just settle bitcoin next. I would rather choose to invest in bitcoin first and let it happen if there will be an altcoin that will get my interest.
It depends on the quality offer, the status and background of altcoins, and market condition. I think there are also a lot of altcoins that have so much potential for trading or investment. So, what we can do is to do research on best altcoins, with strong team and project, and is profitable. If we find the best altcoin and feel it can give huge profit and worth holding, it's better to hold and sell it at appropriate time. I don't see any problems engaging in good altcoins while doing same thing with Bitcoin. Bitcoin as the leading crypto is more stable, but sometimes I think we need to also explore and diversify, because admittedly, not all time bitcoin is in good condition, and so same thing with alts.
