I'm planning to give out small amounts of BTC, $20 worth, as Christmas presents to my family and friends.  It should be a fun way to raise awareness and talk about BTC.

Any pointers on the easiest way to that?  I was thinking about a simple paper wallet and handing it to them.  But whats the easiest way I can tell them to redeem their bitcoin?
