When I bought my mini's I figured there would be an X9. Thing is the mini's are perfect for home, they are as quiet as a GPU right, and don't draw a lot of power. There is a market for them, deal with it
Again, this. It's like saying Mac Minis are a conspiracy because Mac Pros exist.
I know that, but our thread troll wants everyone to think if you bought a mini you are going to be screwed because one Bitmain is evil and 2 the Z9 will be 50 times faster at a 10th of the price.
Sorry, but you're not in MULTIPLE threads, like I am, to know everything that's going on. Well, maybe you are... Doesn't look like it though.
The only reason I'm bringing up the Z9 (
not "mini") [That I refer to as "Beast" and have since day one] Is simply to point out they have "POTENTIALLY" privately/secretly mined Equihash coins LONG BEFORE the Z9 mini came on the scene. Just as Monero was privately/secretly mined long before they released their Cryptonight ASIC. The only reason they released the X3 was after growing suspicion of being found out by Monero developers. Of course, to be fair, that is also "speculation" on my part. Doesn't mean my speculation is wrong but it doesn't mean I'm correct either. BUT, if you look at the Monero Hash rate how it dropped as much as it did, I'm sure BITMAIN had a decent portion of that hash rate that was forked off by Monero. Which has me "speculating" if similar actions are occurring here with Equihash coins.
As for Z9 mini purchasers being screwed by Bitmain; No, not necessarily. It's my opinion they're getting screwed by their own decision to purchase "IF" these forks play out the way I'm "speculating" they play out.
It's THAT simple.
