ziiip occasionally posts a list of "safe" nodes to connect to. (Of course, you've probably also got great ddos protection if you're setting up an exchange, so this may be unnecessary). I haven't verified it recently, since I don't want to get my neighborhood kicked off the internet again for several hours.
Generally most nodes are okay as long as you don't end up on the node list here
