wow! I forgot about Gotze...and they (Joachim Löw and his staff) probably did as well...tbh, can't take any chances with a player that's been unnoticed for so long. They didn't even include him in the pre-list of 27 players for the WC.

but I expect that there are hidden things non technical behind the exclusion Have a bad relationship with the coach and colleagues. So i think that love don't believe in Sane to help the collective team like Draxler Muller and Reus.
I doubt there's something going on behind the scenes. I honestly think Joachim Löw just wan't impressed with Sane's performance in the last few games with the NT, which were underwhelming to say the least.
