Do you know what the estimated hashrate for the Klondikes was?
I might be naive, but wasn't it 307 GH/s?

Exactly. That leaves over 2.5TH unaccounted for from "additional resources", and i doubt they're from the Klondikes.

I can't think of any other reason than these are our chips...

We were told in the Progress Update from two weeks ago that the 'chips are going to be late'.
In terms of the Intellihash sorcery (first rule of Intellihash...
), I agree, understanding how that might affect us is total guess work, although Ozymandias seemed fairly confident that it might be a two week delay. Perhaps he, or someone with knowledge might be able to discuss this further.
Those chips could also be Klondike, not necessarily the new eASICs.
