It's playing with semantics but it is still a wager even if it is a very long odds one. That's not really the point I was getting at. As a personal preference if I was doing this I would prefer to do it with a low multiplier on dice as that would greatly increase my chances of not losing the stake.* That's why I feel the using the term spent is misleading, you don't have to spend (lose the wager) to increase the base reward.
