you can wire any fuse holder to the contact points. Get a cheap one from an automotive store.
Yea, I ended up using some high gauge wire with crimped terminals to create a holder. The fuse now protrudes off the top of the board which should prevent it from transferring too much heat to the board and melting anything else
Thankfully all the ports still work fine.
