You're right no one believes that bitcoin prices can go past $2k last year, the price can penetrate up to $19k and nobody has such
high expectations, just like this year, if not many people believe that btc will reach $20k does not mean bitcoin prices will not reach that price right?
There are more expectation from new users and they are crying over the current valuation, if you check the price a year back you would know the huge difference in price and no one expected the market to rise that much and yet i went that high and had a correction and we might see the trend by the year end and i am sure the price will rally from next year on wards and reaches its peak in a couple of years.
I don't know, I'm very bullish about bitcoin but with the current trend that we are seeing, it looks like the OP has a valid point. Again, I'm not trying to create FUD, however the way we see the price keeps struggling to break the $10K barrier about a month ago, and then the subsequent collapse below $8K, lead me to believe that someone is really pulling the price when we are about to make a good run, so it the trend continues we might not see it conquering the $20K price at the end of the month in my opinion.
If the price increase will happen gist what happened last year from July to Decrmber then it can really hit that price, we will just need to wait a little more due to this instances of news and fuss.
