How does the gateway works regarding to the traceability of the Blockchain?

For example: I send ETH to my Waves wallet. ETH will "change" as wETH. Now I trade wETH to Monero (Does it called wXMR?). Then I withdraw wXMR to my desktop Monero wallet. Are all these steps traceable or is it anonymous?
