As for now, I'm hesitating. It's not so gamechainger versus AMD gpus rigs.
14Khs on Monero / Electroneum is great, but 6xRX580 can do 20usd/day on scrypt or Lyra2z too.
So I ll follow your next improvements with attention.
Do you have any idea about your potential improvements in Cryptonight or Lyra2z hashrate ? Is it more about x1,5 / x2, or do you expect something really bigger (x5 / x10 / ...) ? Just to have an idea.

One full rig can be replaced by ONE card for approximatively the same price but far less power.
In the case of current monero, you would need 8 vega 56 pumping around 1200w to get what one VPU1525 can do for 150w
In term of investment it's even cheaper than buying 8 vega.
There is of course one issue which is resale value but if FPGA democratize in the mining community their price wont drop
