Hello guys , could you please let me know what is the BEST way to stop windows updates as i normally know that but dont know how my windows 10 updated itself with the "Windows 10 April update bla bla...' and my 10 gpu miner stopped working etc.....then i reinstalled v.17.09 and all back again.
Setting Windows to defer feature updates for upto 365 days is quick and easy. If it is the BEST way is up to you to decide. I do want the security updates but it seems the general consensus in here is no updates.
I have a rig that was set to not update, and after a while RDP could not connect to it as it was seen as a security risk. On top of that Windows update failed once enabled and I had to update it with a media disk.
If it updates to 1803 you can roll back, no need to reinstall.
