Nothing is impossible, he might try it or he just raise his popularity. by bringing crypto to political events I think this is bad. or he's doing the latest project promotion ... 
Two intentions at one presidential race. That's possible that if ever he won't win then he's just going to promote cryptocurrency all over the states in the US.I can't see that there is something bad on what's going to do but he has a lot of time by joining the candidacy just for the promotion of crypto's?
He may want to become the president and at the same time, promoting crypto is one of is goals while he's campaigning.
The chances of him winning is probably smaller than his prediction of a 1 million btc value in 2020. Though of course it's obvious that more focus would be directed to cryptocurrencies if in case the old man becomes president. Mcafee's becoming more and more radical if he thinks there's a chance for what he's trying to achieve both for crypto and politics.
