Yes that is actually something that we had planned to have done already but we ended up having to deal with these ASICs first.  So that will be coming ASAP.


It is not something that we have tested yet but the previous merged mining functionality still exists within the protocol and now that we are using the same PoW algorithm as Monero (monero7/cryptonight variant 1) and block target (120s) it implies that it may just work.  We will have to do a little more research on the Monero side to see what else they may have changed.  It will be interesting to see what some pools come up with in respect to this.
