I'd like to start by saying that there are many of those selling Mastercoins on mcoin.io, the orderbook, and other third party sites for 0.3-10 BTC/MSC. Infact the average asking price is well above what we sell our Mastercoins. JR who holds ~30% of the coins has publicly stated he will not sell for less than 1 BTC/MSC, and if someone offered him that he wouldn't think twice to sell. Nobody is calling these people scammers.

You can ask any sell price you want in the orderbook or anywhere else - it's a free market - that is not the point.
The problem is that it was and still "advertised" by the foundation and therefore misleading for new buyers.
I really don't think the foundation gave a clear answer to this, and the fact that buymastercoin is connected with Ron the Executive Director makes it worse in my opinion.

We attempt our best to acquire Mastercoins for our customers at a low price point but unfortunately there are barely any sellers.

I am sorry but this answer is Bullshit. When I wanted to buy from you, you gave me this exact answer which was false. At the same time I wanted to buy there were "updated order book" sellers for MSC @ 0.12. I bought from them so I know for sure Smiley
Than right afterwards I asked you if you wanted to buy the MSC from me and you said that liquidity got better and your buying price is MSC @ 0.12.  (I have the e-mails to prove this)

The idea that the orderbook denotes a "market price" is very misleading, especially with 90% being outdated orders.

Some of the orderbook is outdated but at any given time there is an updated order. I can promise you that at any given moment from the time i joined bitcointalk there was an updated order cheaper than the prices at http://www.mastercoin.org/

We have been the number one source for newcomers to easily acquire Mastercoins.

I am sorry for all those newcomers who bought using your service. I’m sure it’s hard for them when they realize they lost 50-75% of their BTC value on the moment of purchase.

Those who hold mastercoins should love us since we helped raise the price of mastercoin by bringing huge amounts of BTC into the market that otherwise wouldn't have come in.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I sure don't love you. I think your connection with the foundation is bad publicity to the foundation. MSC value will rise based on development.

So for those who feel we are "scamming" simply read the directions on our homepage, contact us for bulk rates, and you will be surprised at the low prices we can actually offer.

Anytime that your price is lower or even remotely close to the current updated order on the order book feel free to PM me. I don't expect to get any PM from you ever.

Not just a scammer - a scammer who thinks he is legit.  What a joke.
