Midas Technologies AG intends to use the net proceeds raised in the TGE to develop and market the Midas app in a global scale. Since the app is a community-driven project we deem it most beneficial to address a broad base of investors that have a long-term interest in the product and will be users of the app themselves. MDS thereby is supposed to share the value of the project with investors and pay them value back in a long-term perspective. If the platform scales then the rewards granted to investors scale accordingly.
MDS tokens entitles its holders to receive shares in the revenues generated by the Midas module according to the amount of token held. These revenues are periodically and automatically distributed to tokenholders through a smart contract.
Midas is deploying the Melon protocol as blockchain-based fund management technology. The open source Melon protocol is a modular system that consists of a Melon Core and Melon Modules. While Melon Core sets the basic framework for a fund, the modules represent additional layers that a fund manager might want to add. Midas Technologies AG develops the Midas module that is represented through the Midas Touch function. Whenever a user pushes the Midas Touch the module extracts a small usage fee and thereby generates revenue.
