The old Taxi system really wasn't working and people were generally very unhappy with it. Uber came along and made many improvements, changing the game completely. Uber's system is far from perfect though, with divers barely making any money and left to fend for themselves if legal issues arise because Uber considers them "self employed." Hopefully ITC is better able to meets the needs of both drivers and passengers, it looks like a promising company.
