Since we changed quite a few things (example: Difficulty Calculation) and also implemented new features, a fork is required.

Hi bill , after fork we need to do something with the wallet ? i use 2.1.2 release

Their will be a new wallet released just before the fork so you will need to upgrade to that,
keep an eye  out for updates and we'll let you know as soon as its released
