Well, yes if you calculate power costs LTC is not worth it at the current exchange rates. But I thought you didn't have to pay for power

If you include power costs, your best option would indeed be to mine CPU only coins. Or, like I said before, mine new scrypt coins right after launch for +/- 2 days, get a lot of coins, and hope the value will rise. This is a bit more gambling, since most new coins barely have any value when they start.
