It's a matter of risk, rather than being late on buying, as long as there are other people using bitcoin, it's never to late to buy one.
When I joined bitcoin the price of it was under $400 and at that time I felt that I am late to buy some bitcoin and there was many early adopters who were very happy with their investment. But now I think that I was also in the early stage as now the price of it increased much higher. Actually now I learned that when bitcoin is not adopted as a global currency we are in the early stage so we have to buy it now no matter at how much price we get it as in the future the price will be more higher.
