Hydrogen is the most abundant molecule in the universe. On planet Earth, it mainly occurs in water and in organic compounds. For example, an average human body contains 5kg of hydrogen.
Hydrogen in water can be obtained by electrolysis. The water is separated into oxygen and hydrogen by means of electric current.
From biomass, we first produce a high quality synthetic-gas. This systhetic-gas is then beeing processed to a high quality renewable natural gas (RNG), that can be fed into the gas-grid. To get hydrogen, this RNG (CH4) will be seperated into 3x H2 + CO2 using steam.
