Martingale bankrupts you in the long run.
If you have $1000 in bank and you bet with just $1, it only takes 10 losses in a row to get bankrupt. And you would need about 1000 rounds to just double your money. Thing is that with ten wins in a row, which would also likely happen at some point, you would only earn $10.
I once had wild luck on those bitcoin betting sites where you get some starting coins and managed to multiply my starting bank by about 200 times using slightly modified Martingale. Predictably I got cocky and lost everything afterwards using the same system. Would never do such thing with money I personally deposited, but this was free run
