I´m glad to see a project like Blockchain.io come to the light. To be honest then it was friend of mine who told me about an airdrop from a “site”, I then got curious to see what it was and went to the site of Blochain.io After I’ve read the whitepapers which is detailed and quite easy to read and understand. Done some quick research and checked out some of the members onboard the team, then I admit that I’ve got even more interested now.
The Internet of Value will be a part of bringing financial inclusion to the billions of people who are still unbanked today.  By last year 2017 there was somewhere between 1.7 – 2 billion people in the world who didn’t had a bank account. It’s time to bank the unbanked! I like the point about the efficiency that the low-latency full-featured centralized exchange with decentralized “trustless” cross-chain settlement that Blockchain.io will combine.
Number one reason to why people prefer centralized exchanges (CEX) is the speed of the transactions. But a centralized exchange can also accept FIAT payment and transactions, which is a big plus for many people. On a centralized exchange the users do not have their own specific private keys to their assets. Instead you rely on the exchange to handle your funds on the safest and most secure manner.
