Both Bitcoin and altcoin are good to invest in although it's longterm or shortterm but IMO I think Bitcoin is a little bit old ). At the moment, Bitcoin is really slow and new altcoin is much better than Bitcoin about transaction speed and transaction fee . ETH is a cryptocurrency created after Bitcoin and Bitcoin is only better than ETH just because of its high price so if I were you, I would choose altcoin
