No. All you have to do is create an address in the wallet, add funds to that address, and vote for a delegate with that address. You do not need to keep the wallet constantly open and you don't have to revote each time you add/remove funds from that address. Once you vote with an address, it'll stay that way until you unvote. Even with 1ARK in that wallet.
