Base on my experience ot is really hard to quit gambling specially when you are already used to it, before my parents will get mad at me becauase I forgot my responaibility as a mom also they sees me almost broke because of being addicted in gambling. One day I realize to quit gambling and I really want to do it so by the help of my love ones and determination to change I now stop or quit in gambling .
You still can be a responsible family member while doing gambling it is all about having limits managing our daily life.But most of the people will fall entirely into gambling which results addiction so if you can't limit it then better stop it.
I would say if you can't control yourself then it's better not to gamble at all because failures to control our emotions makes us impulsive gamblers; a big stepping stone into addiction in the long run. Many were led by the feel of " i am going to win next time and recover" and they never got back so it's better to not start what you can't stop.
