Without blockchain this would be a database which manufacturers and retailers would have to input to and would be centralised on our platform.

Blockchain allows the information to be decentralised and means consumers can verify the origin, authenticity & ownership of their products.

Also by keeping the smart contract logic separate for each product, it is very easy and readable to everyone.
