How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?
There are reviews online as some may have been a victim before and be helpful enough to share their experience which is the only way I hope would be pretty easy to be able to know if a gambling site is a scam or not. Also, you may want to just stick with what others are using and those with far better reputation than trying to gamble a site that is unknown and not well used which I feel you will be better off.
Most of the reviews online are the reason why people keep falling victim to same scams on the same websites all over again. Those reviews are faked and sponsored by the scummy gambling sites. I have often seen the good websites are always underappreciated and scam sites like betcoin/vegascasino/bitcasino are highlighted as the best. Bitcointalk is the only place to seek for legit reviews. If that doesn't convince you, you can always start a new thread asking for suggestions.

The reviews are also part of the scam and i totally agree with you. I think the best way is to test the website with little amounts first and they prove to be reliable then you can go in for huge bets afterwards but bear in mind that "shit happens" and you shouldn't trust easily online.
We should always bare on our minds that even the most reputable gambling sites or any sites that do gives service can turn out to be a shit anytime.Thefore, as a gambler or user on such site we do always be aware on the actions we would made specially when depositing large amounts then always think of the possible risk. As a possible user we would normally seek out any informations towards the site most of the time and i do believe only a few would jump in without knowing sites history.
