What development you mean? I dont think bitcoin has good development. Only fork that the developer done to make them rich and richer. But because bitcoih had been popular as the main crypto, it never loss its popularity. But to make us more love and trust bitcoin, the better development is a must for future.

The forks were executed by money hungry developers who are not the original developers of Bitcoin. Honestly, the entire cryptocurrrency market is built around Bitcoin itself.
