How can it be considered as conflict of interest?
The way I see it is members receiving merits from merit sources are being grateful from the merits they have received therefore they are giving merits as a way of showing gratitude.
The more merits they are receiving means the more merits they can sent back again.
This is merit trading. This is the conflict I was talking about.. it's positive only to who is involved in this trade...
But this is not happening. At least I have never seen it.
And merit sources have more smerits than good posts to merit.
But did day ask for the merits to be send back to them? I don't think it can be called "merit trading" if the merit sources have good post themselves, I don't think we can deny the fact that sending them merits for their meritable post is a bad thing to do, even if that merit sender is the one who has received merits from the merit source itself. If you want to see what merit trading really is go check some DT members' trust summary and search for their negative trust they are giving to merit abusers.
