I’ve been messing with my two units.

I’m stable at 775M. awesomeminer let’s you use the API to set whatever freq. you want. 16.5 -17 common with bursts over 18k. I was SHOCKED at how much they underpromised and over delivered. Certainly done as a “we won’t fuck your coins up” political move. Thing is pushing almost double advertised hash rate at extremely respectable temperatures. I have a lot of S9s and this thing is a dream compared to those monstrosities.

I can’t imagine that the standard Z9 is not far behind. Jihans confirmed 30-40ksol. I’ll bet the price drop on batch 2 is because of one or two reasons.

1: they might announce the Z9 before the second batch of minis ship. This would be a disaster unless they’re like 4-5 grand
2: they were actually scared of forks.

There’s only 12 ASIC chips in these things! I think an S9 has 169 or some shit. Maybe memory was a limiting factor?

I’ve gotten this thing successfully mining on a whole shit load of pools (funny enough not on the one pool I want to mine, slush) Zen on suprnova is treating me nice and so is ZEL solo oddly enough

I only wish I bought more of them. They boot FAST (compared to a good 5-8min S9 boot.)

Not really worried about the stock freq. overclock to 775 seeing fans at 50% are yielding sub 80 degree chips.

I don’t know if they’re more susceptible to chip failure than an SHA256 asic chip at increased frequencies, but tomorrow I might push it even a little more to see where the stability point and the temperature point meet. I would assume a silly amount of hardware errors would be indicative of stepping it up too far.

These ASICS are unreal.

If you have any Questions I’m a bit of a mining guru. I’m the in-house expert for an about to launch collocation space in Idaho. Happy to help.
