It's possible to do. Program wouldn't even be needed to be rewritten to C as I can see there is python driver available, although it needs some major(not sure how big, since didn't check the driver code) alterations to the code. I probably could do this but it'll be kind of troubling to test it as I don't own such display. If you're interested still then contact me through PM.
There are plenty of things which take output and graph them etc... eg.... like Munin...
