Germany just didn't deserve to go through. No passion or enthusiasm from them. They just didn't seem to want it enough. Fair play to Mexico though who despite getting a 3-0 drubbing from Sweden deserved to top the group. I think we could see an outsider take the trophy this year as none of the big four have impressed me consistently. Columbia and Croatia have been the better teams so maybe it could be one of them. Let's see how they compete when they start to meet the big boys in the quarters and onwards though.
Germany's game looked pale right from their first encounter with Mexico. They were very less on energy, no enthusiasm, no lust for title, henceforth they demolished. However, I don't agree with you on winner. Though big names are so far failed to impress with their performance but teams like Belgium and England have shown their capabilities. Both of the teams are sure contestants for Quarter Finals. About title claimer, my bid is still with Argentina. Although team's performance so far wasn't the one that shows them as a contender. But its only a matter of win. A single win is enough to bring back positive vibrations and Argentina team is good one, all they require is a confidence which they got already from last game.
Football is a simple game - 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans no longer always win
