I think the BTC price volatility is a result of many different aspects, but the main one is speculation from big players. And it is both good and bad. Good because we can gain our profit by predicting price movement. Bad because there is a high risk to lose our investment.
But any case the market is still young and we shouldn't expect any other behavior. Patience is a key.
