Hmm. Decentralized chatbot, do we really need that now? And under the description of "why decentralized" it doesn't actually say anything about the question. The answer about getting everyone to get the code shared and more effective is just the description for open source. And you're right there of course, open source is the way to go for blockchain. Interesting to use IOTA though, which, isn't decentralized Smiley

This is an excellent observation and actually in the post is not explained in depth. The need to decentralize the whole infrastructure comes from some of the needs we have encountered in the real network of SMEs:
  • difficulty in efficiently using modern tools for e-commerce and social networks. The ROI for a business owner not experienced in using digital media is quite low. We all know the difficulty in creating a winning strategy to promote your product or service online. The technology that should approach the public and make things simpler very often creates even more complexity;
  • it is not just the technologies that are centralized. in fact, there is also a very dangerous centralization of both monetary resources (fee for food delivery services up to 30%) and information (often subtracted unconsciously or in an unclearly informed way). This thing in the mid-long term will continue to increasingly impoverish the local areas around large urban centers.
IOTA is not yet decentralized and clearly not even Localflow. To complete both projects as indicated on the whitepaper it will take time (not too much, just a little).

Decentralizing in our vision acquires a very concrete sense: to bring as close as possible the technology to people who need to use it (also the DLT). When we complete the first version of the platform we will open the possibility to all developers to create more specific chatbot modules that can meet any need (even in terms of ease of use). Decentralization therefore we mean it in the broadest sense: not only of the ledger but also of information and the design and use of technology.
The goal of Localflow is not to impose products created in one company to a huge audience, but to listen to who will have to use them. This idea is also enhanced by the overcoming of the pay-per-click dynamic: there will no longer be a competition for those who accumulate more visualization or more attention to the detriment of product quality, but for those offering the best service or product. In this way the focus is placed on the protagonists of local economies. There will no longer be any need to think about how to optimize your visibility by trying to become a digital marketing expert. to improve your visibility it will simply be necessary to offer a better service. No "likes" but LIVE witnesses, the success and quality of the event or product is determined by the people really present (try it now in our bot). Every worker and person in this world will be encouraged to do better what he does and what he lives for, having a technological means that helps him without imposing his scheme but enhancing that of people and relationships that bind them quickly, intuitively and without making them addicted.
