I don't believe you can't find any pieces of information that guide you on how to start mining 
(when other people can find it [tested it myself]). For starting, you got good advice above (knowing basic knowledge, then some of the technical things). 
When you felt enough with all of the information you get, then go to the next step (implement it).

Before you start " mining " you need to do a lot of reading, learning on this forum , get some basic knowledge, and also make sure about how risky investment is to spend any money on a computer hardware / ASIC hardware just for mining prupose.
