As with any transaction on the ETH Network, any failed transaction still consumes the gas. However, your tokens are returned to you and are safe in your wallet. There has been quite a bit of congestion on the ETH Network today, which has in turn driven the gas prices up. However, as the market subsides this should automatically adjust to be more in line with the 0.02 ETH amount we typically recommend under normal market conditions.
