I'm good about it if the fundraising will be spent for a chess playing website. This coin / token is created for the game chess and not for anything else.
The ChessCoin might be created for the game of chess, but in reality ChessCoin will be used by the chess community on whatever they want to spend it on once the chess economy is provided for them. On my chess social network, Chess Club Live,

With my stake in ChessCoin, I have tokenised it with our Ethereum token, ChessCoin Cash which my Chess Club Live members get for performing social activities.
Will Chess Coin become the bitcoin for the Chess Community? That remains to be seen, but essentially airdropping a token called ChessCoin Cash increases the awareness in the chess community about ChessCoin.
