. Thought to try to make a new coin (for fun, learning, and if we're lucky maybe bring the altcoin community something new. Can also add that I am from Sweden so English is not my native language (using Google translate right now 
). I do not know yet when Darkcoin will be finished so you can start mine it. Will update here when it is available. So you all get a fair start.

- Darkcoin is based on Quark Code.
- Super secure hashing: 9 rounds of hashing from 6 hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein). 3 rounds apply a random hashing function.
- CPU mining.
- Quick block generation: 40 seconds.
- Block 1-10.000.000 will start from 1 to 1000 coins see http://www.darkcoin.info/Block+reward for more information.
- 1000 DRK per block (halving every 10.000.000 blocks)
- Block reward will never drop below 1 DRK
- Total of 100.000.000.000.000.000 DRK will be mined.
- Difficulty retargets every 20 blocks (maximum 10% up or 50% down)
- no premine: check
- no instamine: check
- no virus: unchecked, until the code is public and scanned.
