Bitcoin is actualy worth something. They have larger community than all other cryptocurrencies combined. And most important thing about Bitcoin is that you can actually buy stuff with it. Beside that Amazon will be accepting BTC in about 6 months.
DOGE has (spam-)hype, CAT has only few miners. Does that make it worth something? Mybe at the moment (hype), but I can't see it in the future. New coins may be ok for speculators, but they are best suited for first batch of miners. In my opinion neither are worth what ppl are asking for them. And the reason why ppl overpay is:

If you're looking for short time investment, buy AMD stocks and sell by the end of JAN.
It will tank if people throw a bunch of memes at it and sees what sticks. This is why I mentioned that if people want this coin to be taken seriously, they should stop trying to become the next doge with the meme overload.
There are many cultures around the world that loves cats. I believe if we focus more on culture and less may mays, it'd stand a better chance at surviving beyond the initial hype phase.
