There must have been a miscommunication here. While it is true that a handful real estate transactions have already been done using Bitcoin, majority of property developers are still averse to partner with crypto payment gateways and accept reservation and monthly payments in form of cryptocurrencies. Those real estate transactions with cryptocurrency involved are mostly, if not all, pre-owned units sold to another buyer. What AQWIRE is building is a marketplace where buyers from anywhere in the world can buy brand new units from any country they wish, with the option of paying using debit/credit card, ACH, or major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
Qwikwire, AQWIRE's parent company, has already been processing cross-border payments for property developers. Our partnership with SCI is just a stepping stone for us to begin processing real payments through a crypto payment gateway. We will be launching our MVP this Q3 2018 with property developers from the Philippines on-boarded. In Q4, we will be expanding in Thailand and Vietnam to start on-boarding developers from there as well.
