My little Mac OS X application takes the current MtGox exchange rate and displays it like the system time.
http://bitcowatch.1btchost.com/index2.pngThe application helps to do normal stuff on a Mac, without interruption, without moving to Mtgox or keeping Windows open. The exchange rate is permanently under your "control". If not .. you can quickly use the bookmarks to jump to MtGox.
