It say it's a Scrypt based coin in OP?
I was going to make it SHA256, but then by popular cats demand it was changed to Scrypt.
That is where the cat went into the box and was never seen again.
Dude how many Scrypt coins exist? Way mucho! SHA256 man!
That's a terrible idea. Do you have any idea how brutally raped this coin would be if it were mined with ASIC on launch? That would instantly turn this coin into a joke dead on arrival if it were mined like that. Did you forget that Bitcoin has been around since 2009 and had a massive boom to get where it is today? The hardware required to mine BTC today didn't exist back then, it does now. If Catcoin were SHA256 instead knowing full well that ASIC miners exist now would make the entire concept painfully unfair.
Anyone even suggesting it isn't helpful for this coin, they just want to screw over everyone else by having the unfair advantage. Just imagine the crazy hardware now used for Bitcoin mining away when the difficulty was 0.0XX..talk about a sick joke. - it's the equivalent of solving a fist fight with a nuke, come on now.
