I don't really think that ETH has the chance of passing BITCOIN by next year. Looking at its market capitalization tells me how big the gap between these two crypto giants. They're both dominant too and their demand is almost relatively high so no way that ETH can pass BTC in 2019.
yes, I agree with you in 2019 I think Bitcoin will still lead the market, Bitcoin prices are high enough so Ethereum still has to take a very long time to beat Bitcoin maybe 5 to 10 years into the future.
