Never tried dual mining but I think it can hurt your cards if push your card on dual mining.
Solo mining is fine to me and I think it can give me more profit and less power consumption.

However, if you are not paying for electricity bill why not try to mine other coins with ethereum but don't expect to live your cards longer.
