Quite sad, but MinexCoin is a Bitcoin fork which makes a lot of opportunities much harder to achieve. Hopefully they will be able, but it's really hard to compete with lots of technically advanced projects...
With such logic, any altcoin it's a Bitcoin fork. Time will show
