Quick update, it seems the list needs a bit of updating.

Coinarmy has closed to the pubic due to repeated hacks, and should probably be removed from the list.

Moowh has still remained empty, and I haven't personally seen much news from the pool owner. I'm not sure if it's being maintained or not. I think his focus has shifted to other coins. I don't know if this is cause for removal from the list, but we should probably discuss it. Would be good to hear from the pool owner.

Just as a reminder P2Pool is decentralized so if one node gets taken down the rest are not affected. There are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. No confirmations to wait for....your coins are sent to you as soon as a block is found. Every block found is simultaneously announced across all the wallets in the P2Pool so there are less orphans encountered.

The source code is freely available for you to start your own P2Pool node that you can keep private for your personal mining needs. You wont need to trust any pool operators or their ability to keep the pool running.

I believe P2Pool is beneficial to maintain the security of the blockchain.

I do really like the idea of p2pool pools, the only issue I have with them is that in my experience smaller miners do not get paid anything. I do realize this may have just been from when the p2pool was overloaded and needed more nodes, but it may be worth running some tests to make sure everyone including small miners gets their fair coin now. (I did get plenty of coin from you pool as a small miner before it got overloaded.) Really not trying to bash on your pool here I mean no offense, you've always done a solid and respectable job, and I think p2pools are a necessity as the mpos architecture sometimes blows up. Just might be something to dig into and research a bit to further stabilize the CSC mining community. Would make me more comfortable with MooPool knowing that if all of MPOS goes down the p2pool nodes can handle the load. Keep up the good work, glad you're a part of the CSC mining community. Smiley
