When was mining at fast-pool I found the coins built up slower than at doge.scryptpools for some reason...

I noticed that too. Pretty sure I was averaging around 20k every 24 hours on scryptpools, now I'm down to ~10k for 24 hours on fastpool.. So conflicted right now...
Yeah im back on wemineltc.com for now.. and possibly forever now. Good old faithful coin and faithful pool. Was sad.. as converting doge -> LTC was really working out well for me. Really cant understand why fast-pool is slower though in building coins even though same difficulty with same setup on my side
