It only looks bad if you don't understand probabilities. To calculate the probability of a losing streak as well as the individual loss probability and length of the streak you also need to know how many bets (sample size).
If someone placed 10,000 bets at a loss probability of 36.67% then the chance of hitting an 8 losing streak is 86.4%
It would be far more remarkable if it didn't happen.
